October in a nutshell

Wow, what a busy month it's been, and the next 2 months also. I have so much I want to say, so bare with me as I try to remember everything we've done and all the silly things you girls have said to make me laugh.

We made our 2nd annual visit to Graves Mountain this year, joined by Memaw, Papa, Uncle Kevin, and Jackson. You girls had so much fun playing in the creek they have there, minus Madison's foot slipping into the water and her shoe getting soaked! :) That was not so pleasant, but you were a trooper Munky. We enjoyed everything from throwing rocks in the creek, a picnic lunch compliments of KFC (yum!), hayride, hay mountain climbing, and rolling down the hill which was HILARIOUS! Baths were a necessity that night for sure :)

This year's Halloween festivities were a Halloween party at cheerleading and trick or treating at Lake of the Woods with friends (Miss Dru, Mr. Jared, Leah, and Robin). While waiting in line to trick or treat on the point, we spotted Nikki and Kaeli and we all went back to Memaws to finish trick or treating together. There isn't a more beautiful Cinderella or Pirate Girl out there! <3

Thank you for always keeping my heart full! <3

Fall is HERE!

This weekend we got a true taste of the fall weather. And what perfect timing for Madison's fall festival at school! :) I wish we could have spent more time there but duty calls (cheer practice!). You girls really had a great time despite not winning any yummy cake in the cake walk, haha. I think it was more me than you girls wanting to win! But I think we made up for winning twice last year. Either way, the sweets were still there to be had, so off to the lollipop tree we went!

The result:

Your dad thought the spooky forest would be a good idea, so we walked the trail that was full of high schoolers dressed up in scary gear. Madison, you weren't so fond of the scary people until after we were out of the woods where you proceeded to tell me, "I wanna go in again." :) And Kaitlyn, you seriously have no fear unless it's a person in a Bobcat costume (Madison's mascot), which you saw and decided to hover behind my legs. Needless to say, you two were the cutest kids this weekend all dressed up in your fall gear. :) Then again, when are you not cute?! I love you both to pieces!

Here we go!

Well girls, Mom is about to start a new journey of messages to you two, because let's face it, you're growing up way too fast! And I want you to always remember how special the two of you are to me. We had a great weekend this weekend, not as crazy as the weekends usually are. Madison, you had 2 hours of tumbling with Fame and boy did that wear you out! But you did awesome! Cartwheels have improved so much. Just think, in no time you will be cartwheeling all over the place. :) Kaitlyn, you didn't mind tagging along to tumbling because you knew you would get to see your friend Daylynn. And she didn't bite or hit you, haha! It was nice to end the evening with a movie, popcorn, and sleeping bags curled up on the family room floor. "Spooky Buddies" it was! Madison, you konked out before we were even halfway through it (blame it on Fame!), but Kaitlyn, you were up for the movie, and then some. I'd like to say it's because you are a night owl, but that would mean that you would sleep in. So maybe you're my night owl AND early bird? Madison, you're definitely my early bird! And daddy wonders why I can't stay up late! :)

Love you Always and Forever,
Mom
